It’s been a chilly, rainy autumn day here in Melbourne today, and I tell you what – if I’d been a couple getting married today, I would have been hankering after a beautifully modern, warm, RAIN-FREE venue in which to be married. And that’s exactly what we have to share with you today.
Beginning with a ceremony in the Kalaya Room at the Melbourne Museum, and ending with a reception at Cutler & Co restaurant, Amy and Mark’s day was wonderfully modern – and simply beautiful – from start to finish.
Amy and Mark chose our Hand-Lettered design for their letterpress wedding invitations, which we letterpress printed in matte pewter metallic ink onto 100% cotton ivory stock, and paired with matching ivory envelopes, with a solid silver envelope liner.
We also created matching letterpress reply postcards, digital print info cards, personalised invitation name tags, and mailing labels personalised with their guests’ names and addresses.
And for their wedding day, we designed matching order of service cards and menus.
We were so excited to see Amy and Mark’s wedding photos and see how their simple, modern wedding stationery perfectly suited the style of their day – this wedding was all about modern, elegant simplicity. Letterpress is indeed a vintage printing technique, but it works wonders to elevate a minimalist design to the next level. And that’s exactly what we were able to achieve with Amy and Mark’s letterpress stationery – the perfect combination of simplicity and tactile beauty.
And now for some shots of their stunning wedding day (all photography by Ben Swinnerton):
What a beautiful wedding! Amy and Mark look so happy together, and I love Amy’s gorgeous gown, the subtle but sophisticated colour palette, and the lovely flowers.
Amy and Mark, it was such a pleasure working with you for your wedding invitations, and we wish you all the happiness in the world for married life ahead xx
