It’s a lovely autumn day here in Melbourne, and we have a beautiful wedding to share – that of delightful couple Emily and Scott, who married recently in a lavish reception at the stunning Mount Soho Winery in Queenstown, New Zealand.
With roses featuring abundantly throughout their day, the couple chose our romantic Josephine design for their wedding invitations, which we letterpress printed in matte gold and nude ink onto ivory cotton stock, and paired with matching envelopes.
Emily and Scott chose to customise our Josephine design with a particular font that was important to them – the font used for their names is the same font they used for their save the date cards, which Emily DIY’d. We were only too happy to use the same font for their wedding invitations to allow a consistent look and feel across all of their stationery items.
We also created digitally-printed gift registry cards and thank you cards, and for their day of wedding items, we designed matching table numbers, menus and a seating chart, all featuring vintage rose bloom illustrations.
And now for some shots of their wedding day – which are actually stills from their incredible wedding film produced by Sunshine Wedding Films! Grab a tissue folks – this one might have you tearing up when you watch it (I almost did).
And here’s the film itself, which is totally worth a watch – it’s breathtaking. That poem at the start read by Emily’s dad… “And I will luve thee still, my dear, till a’ the seas gang dry” – sniff. Not to mention some epic Queenstown scenery which is not to be missed.
From Sunshine Wedding Films:
‘Emily and Scott are a local couple, which was a bit of a treat as most of the weddings we film are with couples from overseas or out-of-town. Their wedding was held at an exclusive lodge just out of Queenstown. It was clear from the beginning that it would be a big, lavish, celebratory affair but with lots of thoughtful details included by Emily. Like a bouncy castle for the kids, a high tea party, catering from their friends at Botswana Butchery (restaurant) and the biggest bucket full of champagne we’ve seen.
Emily and her bridesmaids got ready at Millbrook Resort and Scott got ready at his best man’s house around the corner at Lake Hayes. With a beautiful recital of a Robbie Burns poem by Emily’s dad, an emotional groom as his bride walked up the aisle, and a romantic, impromptu text before the ‘I do’s’ bringing a tear to the eye, this film is definitely one to make you smile.’
What a beautiful wedding and so beautifully captured by Sunshine Wedding Films.
Emily and Scott, it was such a pleasure working with you for your wedding stationery, and we wish you much happiness ahead in married life! xx
